Not ready for everyday farm use.

I used these when I lived in the city and I had no complaints. But when I moved to the country and wanted them to handle humidity everyday, occasional rain, and whatever else I do on the farm each day i have been severely disappointed. the shokz only last 6 months. Its 2025 and I moved to the ozarks in 2021. I have gone through 3 pairs plus the warranty replacement pairs. Alas, I am now trying out different brands. Plus! I really want a skin tone pair! the speakers often quite working because of the humidity and people can't hear me when I am talking on the phone. The last pair actually broke where the head band meets the ear band. I often charge them and when I go back to them they have not been charged.

I wish that when I’m trying to watch a video on my phone and I’ve switched devices it wouldn’t flip flop between them, super frustrating!

I love my old shocks because I never had to look for them but when I needed to buy a new set the only ones I could afford only had black left so I leave them behind because they don’t stand out like my peach/rose ones did. I like that I can get this one to hook up to my TV, I wish it would disconnect from the when the TV i is off, it takes multiple tries to switch from TV to my phone and that’s very frustrating during calls and videos. They’re not quite as comfortable as my other minis, I believe they were pro minis I’m not positive, but it’s also hay to get used to trying to find the call button in the left ear it’s way at the top. The others had the button at the bottom and I could pinch either side of the unit between my thumb and index finger simply and comfortably. It’s a little painful for me to push the button into the top part of my ear and it into my head, I have fibromyalgia which makes some areas more tender and for me one is my ears so it can get really painful when fighting for the frequency to stop or switch but it just won’t do it. After two tries I just give up on them anymore. I just shut them off and take them off, I don’t have time to play games for a half an hour, my life’s been complicated enough. I’d I could send them back and get the ones I really wanted I would. I mean the feature of getting to use it for the TV is wonderful…. For my roommates, it’s been a nightmare for me when I want to turn off the TV and stay home.

Love the fit!

I have multiple ear piercings. I love how these don't interfere with my piercings. I also use them for work and for fitness. I love how I can still hear people around me as well as traffic when I'm out walking. Super comfortable! I had an older pair and I am glad I upgraded. The technology in these are better and connecting them to my phone was a snap.

Good sound, terrible fit

I’ll begin my review with: these sound great, and are exactly what they promise they will be. However, they just don’t stay on my head. If you have a big head, say hat size 7. 5 , I don’t think these will stay in place for you. When I workout, they constantly slip into my actual ear holes - which is not particularly pleasant.

Have worn previous gen Open Run headphones nearly everyday for 2-6 hrs at work plus during runs and working out.
Prefer them for phone calls around the house as well.
Only thing they're not great for are loud environments. You can use foamie earplugs but it doesn't sound great. I wouldn't use this style of headphone for a plane or mowing the lawn, etc.

I unfortunately lost my original Aftershokz and recently purchased some OpenRun Shokz and they’re awesome! The originals were still going strong all these years later so I hope the new ones are just as good. These are a must for me at work and on the mtb trails. At work I have to be able to monitor a radio while working out and on the trails I can hear other riders and hikers all while enjoying my music. They’re lightweight and fit perfectly under my helmet strap while wearing sunglasses. I would highly recommend the OpenRun to anyone on the fence about bone conduction ear buds. You won’t regret it. And best of all. No more sweat inside my ears!
