I had ordered a pair

I had ordered a pair of open ear from a different company, thinking I was getting a quality device at a reasonable price. I didn't receive the kind I had ordered, plus they didn't work well in the environment I work in. I couldn't hear them. So, I done what I should have done to begin with, and ordered my open run shokz. They are awesome. I wear earplugs at work, but I have no problem hearing my shokz. Actually with earplugs, I can have the volume down so low, but still hear perfectly fine, but my battery will last throughout my 12 hour shifts and still have plenty for when I get home. Everyone I've shown has been impressed. I'll definitely be a customer for life. These are the best.

Disappointed!

Third pair of Shokz and I hate to say Im incredibly disappointed. Bought these for the purpose of running the Boston Marathon. Morning of, they are fully charged, and died at Mile 18 - right before Heartbreak Hill. (Less than 3 hours of play.) So disappointed!! The sound is much softer than my last ones, I can barely hear the automated voice. Never could get three clicks to work. Like how light weight they are and hopefully they are water resistant but yet to be determined.

Painless listening experience

In-the-ear devices hurt my ears after more than 30 minutes of listening - and achy pain where they come into contact with my ear. These have caused no pain so far - I am pleased with the sound. I knocked off one star due to some connection issues once in a while after a phone call. I have to restart some apps to continue listening when the phone call has ended. Looking straight ahead I hardly notice they are on after a while. However, when I turn my head, there is contact with my neck that almost feels restrictive. I can still turn my head, but my initial reaction is to stop turning. That improves some when I adjust the back of the device, raising the back side to a level position. It tends to fall down. This is minor, and not a hindrance to ordering again if I ever need to.

Great for situational awareness

I can't wear ear buds, wanted something that could stay on when working out, wanted something small (easy to pack, less conspicious), and wanted something that doesn't block out other sounds. This headphone style meets all these needs!
I'm not much of a critic on music sound quality, so can't speak to that, but these headphones are my go-to for any activity outside of work (where I use large noise-cancelling headphones), including walks around the neighborhood, going to the gym, or just doing the dishes. While granular control is limited with just a few buttons, there is a nice large "Pause" button on the left side, which makes it easier than most other headphones I've used to stop the sound and fully engage with someone interrupting me (then quickly restart). I also appreciate that if I need to stop using my headphones for a while (eg driving, long conversation), I can just leave them on instead of removing and risking losing them, as I often did with other small headphones in the past.
This is my third set of headphones over the years from Aftershokz/Shokz, and my favorite pair yet due to the option to buy the mini size - it fits my head so much better than any previous versions which were only full-sized when I bought them (Trekz Titanium, Aeropex). It's reduced how much they stick out from behind my head, and increased the comfort of them. In the past I've had to wear them for a short while at first as I acclimated to how they press on my head--with this pair, I didn't need to do that. I'm hoping that there's also some increase in durability as my last pair snapped on the side (but still works, technically).
I appreciate the quick charge improvement over the previous Aeropex model, and the sound range continues to be good as i run all over the house, leaving my phone in one place. I haven't yet used it much for calls, but the few I've done have been fine (held while in a quiet environment - predecessor had some challenges in noisy environment, understandably).
