It's a smoker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice range, however, it smokes like crazy on startup. It is recommended to operate the oven at 350 degrees for an hour to burn off the oils from the manufacturing process. We had to open windows and doors and use a couple of fans to get rid of the burning oil smell and smoke from the range. We have parrots so if you have pets you will need to plan for this. Something should be done at the manufacturing center to fix this before the consumer is allowed to buy the range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the range for a week now. Cook top works well and the controls are simple and easy to use. Only one bake in the oven so far, which turned out well. Time will tell if the temperature is calibrated properly and heats evenly. Only issue on the first use of the oven was a smelly smoke from the oven vent the first time it was turned on to preheat. We took this as burning off any chemical residue from the manufacturing process. If it occurs again we'll contact service.

Best available range with options we prefer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this range about 4 weeks ago. Doe not feel as substantial as the L G range that it replaced Also the alert indicators for hot glass top surface is way too small. Also my wife has been struggling with determining correct actual in oven temperature. I have noticed it takes at least twice as long to heat up to bake a frozen pizza 🍕. We mainly purchased this range for hopeful better reliability than the L G range that this I replaced.

Smoke

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not had this convection oven very long, but so far I am liking it. I am still learning to to adjust times for baking. I will say that there are quite a few manufacturing imperfections . Discoloration , the seal on the glass top is not sealed properly. Also the oven was very oily when it arrived. I was told to let it come to room temperature before using. I did. I was also told to have the oven warm up and in bake mode let it run for thirty to forty minutes. Warning... My entire house filled with smoke. T he smoke was incredible strong smelling and induced severe coughing. We had to open up the windows and doors and bring our fans to move air in the middle of winter. After using the oven several time I still get the same strong odor occasionally. Thank goodness the oven is no longer smoking. If it were not for the imperctions and smoke inhalation I would have given it a higher rating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No instruction book was included with the range. Been on the internet trying to figure how to work steam clean and air fryer. Being in our Mid 70’s, I am thankful I can go online to figure this out but still not clear instruction.

Thank you for sharing your insights with us. We value your time and would like to look into the concerns with your Electric Range. A slight smoke or unusual smell is normal when a new oven is first used. This is due to: Heating new internal components (elements, wiring). New insulating materials reaching operating temperature. Vaporization of a thin, protective oil coating applied during manufacturing. Residual adhesives from shipping materials. The smell is temporary and will dissipate after a few uses.
To efficiently remove manufacturing odors, do not cook food during the first use, as odors can transfer. Procedure: Remove All Materials: Ensure all packaging, plastic, foam, and shipping materials are out of the oven cavity. Set Cycle: Select "Bake" mode. Set Temperature: Set to 350°F (177°C). Run Time: Run continuously for a minimum of 60 minutes (one hour). Repeat: If the odor persists after cooling, repeat the 60-minute cycle one or two more times. Wipe Down: Once fully cooled, wipe down the interior with a soft cloth dampened with plain water or a mild soap solution. Ventilation: Open a kitchen window and/or turn on the exhaust fan (hood) to the highest setting during burn-off to accelerate odor dissipation.General Safety and Odor Elimination
The initial odor/smoke is generally not dangerous to the average person but can be irritating. Following the empty "burn-off" cycle is the most effective elimination strategy.
For sensitive individuals, maximizing ventilation is key: open windows and always use the exhaust fan during the burn-off.Odors and Smoke During Self-Cleaning
The high-temperature self-clean cycle produces heat, smoke, and odor by incinerating food soils. Clean Sooner: Run the cycle before the oven becomes excessively soiled to reduce smoke and odors. Ventilation is Essential: Maintain a well-ventilated kitchen during the entire self-clean cycle. Do Not Block Vents: Proper airflow is mandatory; never obstruct oven vents. Door Gasket: Do not clean or damage the door gasket, as it is vital for the high-temperature seal. Prohibited Use of Aluminum Foil or Liners
CRITICAL WARNING: Never line the oven bottom with aluminum foil, foil-backed paper, or commercial oven liners. Damage Risk: This traps heat, creates hotspots, and can cause irreparable damage (chipping, melting) to the oven finish. Odor Risk: Trapped debris/grease can decay rapidly, causing persistent odors. Airflow: Do not completely cover oven racks with foil, as this impedes essential airflow for even cooking.
