[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We opened it today to play with on as it’s a rainy day. My son opened the box and immediately started bouncing. The packaging was sturdy and colourful drawing his eyes to the two cars on the top. Once it was opened it was only a few quick snaps and it was all ready to go and put together. His favourite thing so far is to guess if the car will make the loop. But I can see this getting lots of love with other monster trucks in his collection.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been loving this Monster Truck Hot Wheels track. First off, I appreciated that the box was easy to open due to the large perforation on the back. There is assembly required, as well as applying stickers to areas, but the instructions were clear for both. There is even additional instructions on how to rearrange the track for storage. The track comes with 2 monster trucks, one is significantly smaller than the other. The track does require a few reset aspects, which I could see frustrating for children outside the recommended age. Overall, very entertaining.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Power Smashers Charge & Chase Challenge Track Set is my grandson's favorite toy. This set comes with his favorite Monster Truck, Skelesaurus. It also includes Bone Shaker and 2 crushed cars. The object of this set is to see if Bone Shaker can beat out Skelesaurus to the end of the track. There are two randomized outcomes. Either Bone Shaker beats Skelesaurus and makes it through the loop and escapes, or Skelesaurus traps Bone Shaker inside the loop, knocking the loop over. I like the bright colors in this track. It took me a little longer to assemble, I wish the directions were a little clearer. When my grandkids are not playing with it, it can be easily broken down and stored. I also like that the outcomes are randomized, it switches things up a bit. The cars are made well and are easy for my grandson to push around. The track measures 46 inches and is stable and simple for him to set up on his own, so he can play with it over and over. You have to remember to set the handle inside the wheel before each race. One of my favorite things is watching him use his imagination while he free plays with the vehicles outside of the track. One of his favorite things is watching Bone Shaker go through the loop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was selected for my 4 year old boy.
Flat he was very attached to the idea right off the bar. I think he actually found a timer to make sure when I said I'd let him open it in 5 minutes that it was only 5 minutes.
The box was surprisingly easy. We loved the tear open back to make getting all the parts out easier. Only 1 item required a scissor to remove from the package.
My husband assembled the item as the box indicated. It definitely was not something that my 4 year old could have done alone.
The toy is definitely as long as advertised. It has been a big hit to. My son randomly just comes along and sends the trucks flying down the track randomly laughing the whole time.
Once assembled my husband showed him how to reset the track as there are some steps you have to take to get the track race ready. My 4 year old absolutely can do this on his own every time after only 2 rounds of showing him. So it's nice for independent play.
We have noticed that on our set the little truck always wins (it gets through the circle before the big truck knocks the circle off). We aren't sure if this is because it is mostly used on carpet or if it's the way our son releases the trucks. But if you have a cold that would notice that be warmed. My son doesn't notice at all. He's just happy to play with it.
We also found that it has a storage option according to the instructions. This requires removing 1 section of track but that goes over the truck holding the truck in place and reducing the length of the pieces. Which is a nice feature given the limited storage space we have for toys. My son hasn't let us put it in storage though yet.
Overall it's a great toy for him and right on for his age.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] “Let’s go!” “We made it across the finish line!” “Go around the loop de loop!” Is all I hear in my house for hours. My 3 yr old son LOVES this car track. It comes with a monster truck, a miniature truck (it goes around the loop), and two crash cars that the monster truck knocks over. Once the cars go down the track, there’s a lot of action and excitement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice playset that is perfect for boys and girls alike. The instructions were easy to follow, and I was able to have it together for my kids in a few minutes. We are a racing family, so my kids definitely were excited to play with this set. It comes with Skelesaurus and Bone shaker who compete against one another. All the pieces seem really durable and well-made. Great for indoor and outdoor play. My kids have played with this toy non-stop since it arrived. If you have a hot wheel, monster truck, or racing fan in the family, I am sure they will have hours of fun with this toy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hot Wheels New 2024 Monster Trucks Power Smashers featuring an oversized Skelesaurus versus a somewhat diminutive Boneshaker is just awesome. It’s a sensory experience filled with sounds, lights, racing, chasing, crushing and crashing! The fun is endless and the outcome, unpredictable. It’s a pretty cool set according to my two sons, and I totally agree. Getting started is a little slow going- lots of pieces to assemble and plenty of labels to apply. Matching the alphabetical symbols on each part makes the assembly much easier following the illustrations provided. The written directions can be a little confusing. Fully assembled, the track reaches 46 inches, but it does fold down for easier storage. Included are the two plastic (not metal) trucks as well as two plastic crushed cars. Adding the crushed vehicles is optional but it heightens the excitement and the sensory experience. Would definitely recommend!
