I was very excited to see that LEGO had created the Lovegood house, so I purchased the set as soon as I could.
While the build employs some unique techniques, overall I find the set to be disappointing. The price point on the set is far too high. While it has a fair number of pieces, the structure is very small. I knocked the chairs out of the main room at least five times whole I was trying to build the set, and if the set were to scale, the Lovegood living room would be smaller than a bathroom. The rooms only get smaller. I cannot see how it would be playable because it is not sturdy. I feel disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Harry Potter and I absolutely love Lego so this was a perfect set for me.
I appreciate that the instructions are separated according to which bag the pieces you need are in. Also, I find the instructions have become even better about giving visuals for smaller parts, possibly not needed for most adults but for younger kids especially I find it to be helpful and lets them put more of the set together independently.
There are so many nifty little Harry Potter accents included in this set, and because I love Luna the most I’m happy to see a set centered around her. The best part of the whole set, for me, is the lighted Lego that casts different shadows you can change with a slider.

Absolute blast to build!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Building the Lego Harry Potter set was such a relaxing experience. The details in Luna Lovegood‘s house are incredible - from her colorful bedroom and her little pillow to the painted portrait of all of her friends above the bed on the ceiling to her translucent blue Patronus.
I especially love the interactive feature that projects images from the tale of the three Brothers - such a creative touch. The mix of whimsical colors upstairs and cozy, earthy tones below really capture Luna’s personality.
I’m kind of sad the build is over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. i’m obsessed with this set! i love harry potter, so i can appreciate all the little details that went into this set (my personal favorite is a brick that showcases luna’s painting of harry and friends above her bed). i’m also obsessed with the light brick! it’s so cool and innovative, and very fun to play with. one downside is the fact that the lego set is not sturdy; i kept thinking i was putting it together wrong but it’s really just how it stands. definitely meant more for display and not for kids to play with. another thing that i don’t like (although this goes for all legos) is the fact that the color on the instruction book doesn’t match the brick colors a lot of the time. if you think you’re missing a piece, check again; it may have been a printing error. overall, this set was so much fun to build, and it looks great on my harry potter shelf!

Intricate but well organized

It’s a great hobby for kids or any age group. The materials are well organized and they also come nicely wrapped with labeled sections so you don’t get confused. The assembly can be confusing at times but it’s part of putting together a Lego set!
