I've built many Harry Potter sets and was at first unsure about this one, as the picture looked like it wasn't super special compared to others, or worth the cost. I already have the other Collectors Edition set with owl and it seemed too similar. However, once I started building I immediately loved it! Every step created little hidden secrets, moving aspects, and unexpected details. This is truly a fun build and I really enjoyed every part of it. The techniques used are excellent, and the end result is beautiful. It's also not overly large (keep in mind it's only 1600 pieces), which I appreciate as I don't have a ton of display space.
If you like building sets with hidden surprises, moving parts, and not too simple of a design, you will love this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very nicely done, I appreciate the amount of details you put into a small set. If and when you make a collectors set for each movie, I will buy. Would be cool if they all formed something in a row. Some nitpicks, a few macguffins I wish were in the set but were absent; a broomstick or snitch, Harry's letter, and the troll (I realized there was a picture, but a minifigure would have been better). I think the idea of the set having moving parts was great, but could have been executed a tad better. I didn't like the trolls club being part of the wall. Like I said, if the troll was a minifigure, it would have been better for the club to hit the troll on the head. Hedwig's head moving was cute, Hedwig having a heart inside her made me smile. And the queen moving was nice, but would have been cooler if it was towards Ron.

I'm normally a Star Wars/LotR guy, but as soon as I saw this, I knew I needed this set, and it did not disappoint. Great build, Fantastic displayability, fun easter eggs. If they make one of these for each book, they can count me in.

A surprisingly intricate build at points. Ends up looking really nice on the shelf. Very minimal play features but that’s not what I care about so I was 100% satisfied.
