Loved the concept of the top fill. Was excite about it since you discontinued the black older model (MY FAVORITE THAT WORKS GREAT AND I AM STILL USING). THIS NEW ONE SOUNDED LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN. Bring back the older black model PLEASE!!!

Unit is rattling after only one day of use. After reading the other reviews I will be returning. Such a shame, considering it’s a super nice looking unit. It doesn’t keep my room at any humidity above 40 either. So it makes noise and doesn’t work. Room is only 12x12

Smart features do not work

Hoping one of the other models has a functional hygrometer control loop. Changing the desired humidity on this model has very little effect on function and, if it does have a hygrometer, it must be wildly inaccurate.

We recently moved to an apartment in a retirement community. The heat/air is forced air. Very dry air. This evaporator is amazing. Just what we needed. I love that I can add water directly to the unit! Perfect!

Absolute garbage

Purchased last winter. Worked fine. This year, the fan rattled as the top of the fan rubbed against the plastic housing. Finally it got to a point where it stopped spinning consistently. This was after I had ordered more filters. I’ve purchased Vornado space heaters that were hit or miss. will likely never purchase another Vornado product.

Great humidifier....

We have used two of these for our house this past winter 2024-25. This is the best evaporate humidifier we've ever had. Love the double filters which last longer so less changing over the winter. Easy to clean and definitely a great feature of being able to fill the tank at the top. No water leaking either which is a big problem with your EVDC 300 humidifier that we owned prior to purchasing the EV3. Noise level seems quiet also. I don't see how you can go wrong with purchasing the EV3 evaporate humidifier...except maybe the color. I wish it came in white. Thanks again from a great product !!

A few days after running our new humidifier, it started making an intermittent rattling noise. It is especially noticeable when the fan is on lower speeds.

Too loud and rattly

I wanted to love this, and for the first few days it was really smooth and fairly quiet, just a whirring sound of the fan. After a week or so, however, it started making a clicking sound that is incredibly annoying. It comes and goes and is not a pleasant "white noise" background sound at all. I also think the humidistat might not work properly; I haven't tested the humidity otherwise but I am suspicious of how little water evaporates.
