Amazing for a bedroom!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve recently got this heater and have been using it my bedroom every night since. I live in a colder climate state where it’s often below freezing during fall/winter and I use this to keep the temperature bearable. It keeps the room nice an warm and oftentimes the exact temperature I set it to. The remote is fantastic for changing settings right from the bed. On low it’s now loud at all to fall asleep to aswell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every now and then my bedroom gets a little chilly at night time because my thermostat reads my temp in my living room. So this little guy actually comes in handy. It is easy to control and has a auto off feature which is nice. It also comes with a remote control. I would definitely recommend if you just need one room heated by this thing.

This space heater is so perfect because it keeps the room warm without it being too hot. A great feature is that it works, immediately. My husband loves it because he is always cold so we keep it set up in our living room. The fact that it is compact is another great feature.

Great small heater

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fan is small and portable which makes it easy to move from room to room. It heats quickly and quietly and warms the room very nicely. The heater is cool to the touch and if it is accidently knocked over i automatically shuts off. This is a great feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really fantastic space heater! Keeps my office nice and toasty - and my daughter used it over the holiday and loved it as well! The remote is handy so I can put it on the other side of the room to save space and keep things safe. It turns off if tipped over, and overall is just a great product!

I don't run my heating system in the winter because I spend most of my time in one room. I purchased the Velocity 5R to heat the room. I have used other heaters to heat the room, but nothing comes close to the efficiency of the Velocity 5R. On high, the room temperature can go up ten degrees in about twenty minutes. In the winter, the room temperature in the morning is around sixty degrees. Before getting out of bed, I use my remote control to turn on the heater. I've never been happier with a heater. And the icing on the cake is it comes with a five-year warranty. I purchased the 3R for my 87-year-old Mom for Christmas. She loves it! You can't go wrong with Vornado products.

Unit Does Not Function As Instructions Indicate

The controls are very difficult to operate, and they don't always do what one would expect. When I called for help, I was instructed to reset the unit by punching a button on the bottom 10 times, an instruction that appears nowhere in the printed material that came with the unit. I was also instructed to shut it off by pulling the plug from the wall socket, which contradicts the instructions, which say the unit needs to cool down before stopping. Since the only way to get it to shut off is to pull the plug, I assume it will wear out sooner than it should. So, while it does warm the room adequately (although not to the temperature indicated on the unit), I'm not happy with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well made and great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Vornado Velocity 5R Whole Room Space Heater. After looking for a space heater for our spare bedroom I found the Vornado because of the great features. It has a illuminated control panel on top of the unit which gives all the information you need as room temperature and what temperature you set the unit on the time remaining on the timer and what mode the heat is on and you can control all the functions on your remote. Its cool to the touch and has a automatic safety shut off. Works awesome and I don't have to heat the entire house when I'm only using one room. I would highly recommend the Vornado whole room space heater for anyone looking for a safe great looking space heater.
