I have always loved the LOTR universe, so I was excited to get this set. It was fun to build and looks great on display.
A few things could have been better:
- The build could have been more detailed and complex.
- The miniature Sauron figure should have had a plastic helmet instead of silicone or rubber.
- The set could easily have been expanded to around 600 pieces for a better build experience.

Amazing Helmet, But It Needed More Height

As a Lord of the Rings fan, I really enjoyed building the Sauron Helmet. The shaping, details, and overall appearance are excellent, and it looks great from every angle.
My only disappointment is the final display height. Once completed, the helmet feels shorter than expected, especially for a character as imposing as Sauron. The proportions of the helmet itself are fantastic, but the display stand could have been taller to better showcase the model.
I actually found myself wanting additional pieces to increase the display height because the design deserves a stronger presence on a shelf. A slightly taller base or optional display extension would have made this one of the best LEGO display pieces in the Lord of the Rings collection.
Overall, a great set with outstanding detail and an enjoyable build experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frustrating Build

I am a huge LOTR fan & I was so excited to buy this that I waited for midnight the night it dropped & bought it. Attempting to build this set was honestly the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a Lego set. The build took way longer than it should have because pieces would fall off while trying to put others on & I would have to go back like 10 steps to retrace my steps to fix it. It kept falling off the base while trying to snap the pieces on as I got closer to the end. I was getting so annoyed I just wanted to quit building it but I pushed on. But with that said it does look cool when it’s done & I love that it came with the Sauron mini figure & 4 gold rings. I bought a wall mount & hung it up. Overall I’m happy w the finish build & I would recommend it but you’re gonna need a lot of patience.
I would recommend this to a friend!
