[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly this LEGO speed of F1 Academy exceeded my expectations. The design is really sharp and the colors pop even more in person, it was a fun build, nothing too complicated but still engaging, I did it with my 7yo son and was really fun!
The finished car looks great on display and I line that is sturdy enough to handle a play too.
Details like the rear wing and front nose give it a realistic F1 feel (wife of a biiiiig F1 fan) haha

My grandson just turned 5. I bought the racecar even tho it said 18 +. He finished it in 1 sitting. He said he is the Lego master builder of all time.

This was a fun build experience other than a few difficult stickers but it is worth it in the end. I think this car has good display ability. The only problem I really had was the nose sticker not being printed straight in the middle of the sticker. Overall I would recommend this build and really enjoy that the minifigure is customized to look like there driver.

More fun than the F1 sets

Lego took free license to create their own F1 style car and did a great job. The livery is more interesting than the 10 (Kick Sauber = Audi) official F1 car sets. The build was surprisingly more fun as well, especially with the printed pieces. Seems a lot more sturdy as well, maybe due to the Academy cars being more compact and having fewer fiddly bits than the F1 designs.
If you’re not a traditionalist, you should get this to enhance your F1 Lego collection.

It’s a fun set to go along with the actual sponsored race car in the F1 Academy series. Looking forward to seeing the car race soon. The front wing and some of the decals were a bit fidly for my larger fingers.

Bought this for my son and he built it in no time as he’s use to these Speed Champion F1 cars and we built two smaller older f1 cars too. As usual it was simply just fun to build Lego together! Our entire family always has.
