I built this set a couple months ago. I swear it had a missing pin which wasn't great but it happens rarely. My main complaint is the rear suspension is held together by nothing but hopes and prayers and constantly breaks off from the slightest of pressure, defeating the purpose of showing off what its meant to be showing. From what I've seen the 2021 F1 sets have the same issue and it was not fixed here. This was my biggest lego purchase at the time and safe to say I am disappointed with the experience. I keep building so it hasn't kept me away, but outside of it looking cool I've grown to dislike it very much. I would not recommend this set, much better ones that you can buy for less money. It looks incredible but all the functionality features are lies because it might as well be held together by paper
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Mclaren Racer is a great product. While it is challenging to assemble it gives you great satisfaction when completed. It helps to keep my mind sharp.

This is by far my favorite F1 car. The details are right on and this one looks the most like a true F1 car. The only reason I didn't give all categories a 5 is because the technic pieces are challenging. However the final product is well worth it.

Addictive to build and spectacular to look at

This F1 car is very realistic and a pleasure to build - I'm fairly slow & methodical and it took me a full day to construct, but building it is very fun. There are several "ah-ha!" moments where things connect that you didn't expect, like when the steering mechanism finally comes together. The car is large (table is 2.5 ft across, for scale) and comes together beautifully. The working suspension and pistons that move in the engine when you roll the car are cherries on top. Thanks Lego for this hobby - it takes my mind off of work and helps my brain focus.
