[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This BB-8 set was a blast to build. It’s has a really interesting mechanism that allows rotation. Took a few hours and was a little more challenging than most sets but the end result is worth the effort.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setting up this Lego set was fun! Because my entire family are fans of Star Wars, setting this up together was a great, and nice activity for us. I would totally recommend buying one if you enjoy Star Wars.
Went out and bought this one finally. Had higher hopes for it, but the overall was a bit generic feeling. Same price point as R2 set but liked final R2 set alot more than this one. Trying to put head on BB8 was harder than necessary and the bottom part kept coming apart. Overall not one of my favorite Star Wars set.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved this project so must. The kids loved it too. We love Star Wars AND Legos. Pretty easy to build. The best part is it’s functional! Makes a great display piece.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was so fun to make! I like that the BB-8 is not too big, was very intricate, and has lots of moving parts. The mini figure and the plaque is a great addition to this set.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not built a Lego set in over 15 years. I always love building these Lego sets playing with them and collecting as many as I could, my wife never got the opportunity to play with Legos in her childhood so when I got this item, I knew exactly who to give it to.
She’s not really a Star Wars fan, but she had a friend that passed away who absolutely loved to BB-8 so whenever she sees anything BB8she absolutely wants to get it she had so much fun building the BB8. There is so much detail that she was amazed about when you spend the wheel on the bottom of the head turns back-and-forth. Doors inside that open and little arm stick out.
Lego has came a long way from when I was a kid and I now have someone who is hooked and is already saving for more Lego pieces!
I was very excited to add a new Droid to my collection. I also have a Disney made bb8. This set was frustrating and not sturdy at all. As I put the last of it together parts kept falling off. The front panel doesn't slide in seamlessly and looks odd. Not worth the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited for this build to come. We have built many Star Wars Lego sets and love them all. BB-8 is such a cute little droid and we couldn't wait to set it up next to R2. The instructions were clear and it was super easy to put together. The wheel works just like it should and BB-8's head turns when it is rolled around. The other detail that I really like is that all the circular parts (except the door that opens) on the outside spin like little Lego fidget spinners. This set can be moved around and gently played with without falling apart. For an ages 10+ Lego set, two 40-somethings had fun putting it together. It is a little more expensive than I would have expected for a build of this size- even with it being a Star Wars set. All in all, it's adorable, fun to build, and we will be probably get our nephew one for Christmas next year.
