My son set it up under our Christmas tree around the stand. Eventually, we would like to set up a Lego holiday village.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I built this set as I thought it would be a nice display for the holidays. I think it came out very nice and it was fun to build, but I also had no expectations about motorizing it. So, unlike some other folks, I was not let down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always wanted a Lego Christmas train for the family tree finally got one my son got the lights and my other son got the motor for it to drive it’s amazing
Just reviewing since everyone is complaining about the powered up. It's definitely not perfect, but does work with a little tweaking. The train does spin wheels a bit to start no matter what you do - but the biggest problem we experienced was actually due to the polar bear. When you attach the arms, don't push them all the way in or else you might cause to much friction. Once we gave a little more space between the arms and body, it works fairly reliably - but it is definitely rough. Set was fun regardless and glad I already had the powered up parts to experiment with.
This train set is colorful and full of character! The theme and complimentary colors really give it a really festive appeal. Using the motor and battery pack from passenger train set #60337 and the powered-up app really adds the magic of the season. The added touches of printed bricks and motif decorations make this a set a keeper for generations.
LEGO blew the engineering on this one. The traction issues with the powered up functionality is real. I modified the tender putting the power unit under the battery. Issues solved.
