Generally very easy to use and reasonably priced if you can get it on sale. As far as I can tell there's no option that includes the state filing cost which feels a bit disingenuous. The AI chat feature is moderately helpful but can't do anything for you it can only tell you how to do things. Unsurprisingly this needs refinement.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Feels like calculations are incorrect. Lost trust in the software. If you open an entry and close without making any changes, still the refund or owe amount changes. I have seen this in previous years software but it happens even in 2025 software. Searching on google shows it happened to many people. Seriously considering switching to another software next year

Would like the option to transfer software to a new computer with an activation code. Format for foreign address in 1040 was tricky and I was unable to file 1040 electronically

After using it for several years, I find it confusing and ultimately hard to e-file with, which is sort of the point of tax software. I have had to print hard copies and mail them in the last two years.

very buggy this year. have used for 20+ years. 1. couldn't update until very last minute. kept telling me i was off line which was never true. nothing in my copy indicated whether i was premium or deluxe. had to go to invoice. 2. i had some oil royalties. in same interview form i had to enter info twice. result doubled amount. if i didn't fill out second request, amount came out as 0. finally i just added amount to Ordinary dividend so i wouldn't understate income. 3. the rmd part was a mess. my rmd was X. I took out 2X. your interview had 2 parts/ under withdrawing or over accumulating. never clear where i should enter my X = RMD 2X = actual withdrawal. clearly i had taken out my full rmd. result = fine of 3500. finally I went in and edited form which was clearer. What was your rmd. how much did you actually take out. i put in my X and 2X

I could not import my Bank of America or Merrill tax information which meant I had to hand jam the information. Not happy!
