Doesn't automatically add the cost of program, state downloads, and filing fees from last year into current year as part of the deductions.
Cons: Hard to import documents

i had several problems with software. multiple lines left blank on tax form and could not overide the program.we had to file for tax extension due to many issues. will go back to turbo tax.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid Tax SW but problem with import feature

I have used Block SW for many years and have found it to be easy to use and thorough. We have a property rental so the features in the Premium version make it easy to address all the forms required. I am generally very satisfied. This year I did experience a problem in that the feature to import my financial documents from Fidelity would not work properly no matter what I tried to do. I sent a message to Block to ask for assistance but never received a response and so ended up entering a large amount of data manually. That was pretty frustrating and I still hope that I might hear something back from Block regarding this problem. We will see.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

I initially had a lot of trouble with this years product.
I was on Windows 10. And ended up buying a new computer.
I called in twice, but no one could figure out the issue.
In the end I think I had a bad build. It would not install on my Brand New machine. I called in two times, but basically editing the registry was not my cup of tea. Finally called and got "Marissa". She was able to deliver me my Premium that loaded, my Calif and DC that loaded. After that, no issues.
Tried to run the surveys, but they were all expired. What is with that?

Extra fees for a 2nd state and extra fee to file each state online. The software does not import Pdf of W2 or 1099.AI has not helped importing documents.
