You do not allow e-file for an ammended return. Turbo Tax does.

Slow to get an update I needed to file my return. It became available 10 days before the filing deadline. A program error prevented me from filing my state return until I manually changed the incorrect number from the 2024 return (also Block software)

I have been using this software for 20+ years, since it was called Taxcut. I have never had this many problems with tax software. I have simple taxes this year. W2s, interest income, charitable donations, mortgage interest and property tax deductions. That's it. It failed copying over information from the interview to the forms, for example, it threw an error for a form, where I could the form missing my address. I had to delete the form and restart it to have it work. It could not complete my deduction form no matter what I tried. I eventually forced a "1" where it should have been 0 or N/A. Hopefully that's fine.
Claiming "they'll support you if you get audited!" is just silly. I'm not getting audited, I have nothing to "audit", I'm just going to get a penalty and interest, then I get to spend a year going back and forth with them trying to explain that it wasn't my mistake, and to take this corrected form.
Once again, been buying this for 20 years, and this is the last year unless I see something like "We have made terrible mistakes, and we are sorry and will fix them.". If they don't, that implies that this is just the way it is now, and then I'm out.
20 years. Really bad timing to have a bad year when I'm pretty sure I could simply drop the forms into Claude and prompt "do my taxes". The reason nobody does that is they don't trust it. They trusted H&R Block but now I don't.
