Software is pretty good,. Getting promised HR Block support when government contests the return is hopeless. The state of PA contested my return, which I think is correct. Getting support from HR Block to contest this back with PA is a waste of time. You can only reach software people who know nothing about taxes. Promised next steps never happen. It seems to be an impenetrable fortress keeping you from the people who should be able to help. It shouldn't be this hard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst software in the history of software - especially the business version. DO NOT waste your time and money - it will only cause you immense grief and frustration. Makes TurboTax totally worth it in all ways.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R Block Premium Tax Software for over 15 years, including throughout 2025, and it has consistently been a reliable and accurate tool for my tax preparation needs. I truly value the software’s ease of use and the confidence it provides in ensuring my returns are completed correctly.
Based on my long-term positive experience, I fully intend to continue purchasing and using it in the years ahead.
One suggestion for improvement would be to include at least one free state tax submission. This could potentially be balanced by reducing the number of free federal submissions from five to three, for example. I believe this adjustment would enhance overall value for long-time users while maintaining the product’s strong core offering.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
