tax exempt 1099-OID does not pull in to the 1040 correctly, and has to be entered as a NET to make your input page work correctly. similar problems on other 1099's
Cons: Hard to prepare

I was glad this still works on Windows 10. While it was somewhat easy to use, some of the navigations and checks are not very explanatory. The review was difficult when it generated errors that cannot be fixed because they reported problems that did not exist.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

The software works well for mundane returns, but too often it asks for information that is contained in previous year's returns. On several occasions, the program discovered issues when I was about to submit my return, NOT when I did the normal checks and reviews. I have used this program for many years, and I almost always hear from both the IRS and my state that I have made mistakes. This did not happen when I did my taxes "by hand". There are just too many issues with the program for me to consider it to be top notch. In the past, I used the common competitor, and generally it was superior in these aspects. I will, sadly, probably return to the competition.

Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

I was able to get our joint tax return done but it took a lot more work than it should have. The software supplies no support for federal tax Form 7206 (Self-Employment Tax Deduction) and very little support for most of the state tax forms. So, better than filling out the forms by hand, but still quite tedious.

Worked fine for federal, but for the 2nd year in a row, the software did not allow me to e-file my state taxes (both ND and MN). Wasted money buying the second state.
