Purchased "Premium" HR software for assist with home sale taxes. Don't know if necessary over Deluxe, but it worked well. Will return to "Deluxe" in future, which BTW has served me well for nearly 20 years now.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I had issues with the software errors-clearing at the accuracy verification, and the software codes for the state taxes. After many years of using the software, I am probably switching to another more reliable software.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Second year I have used H&R Block tax software. It is very user friendly and logically moves from one section to another, allowing revisions of deductions, etc. until final submission. My only confusion came when IRS rejected my first federal submission and I needed to redo a form in the non-cash donation category. The forms tab could be more obvious on the dashboard as "recent forms completed" or some such. I had to fish for forms in the general list to redo ones I had completed incorrectly apparently. Ultimately my return was accepted and I am pleased that I paid for the software rather than a tax firm. WRS

5+ yr old bugs prevent e-filing. Support worthless

Unlikely to purchase next year. Having to search thru 5 year old Reddit messages to find a solution because your online and phone help is useless. Literally worthless. AI just takes you around in circles and if your issue isn't one of the half dozen it likes, you are out of luck. Both on the phone and online. Upgrade, e-file do thru slew of questions, oh! you have to upgrade, so upgrade again... and repeat, and repeat. Manual download up upgrade, same issue. Finally had to uninstall in re-install... only found out because the defect has existed for over 5 years! Get real support instead of AI tripe, fix issues you have to know about, or lose another customer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
