Comprehensive tax preparation is very good. Accessing some of the information fields was a challenge. File was painless and reassuring.

I’ve usually used H & R with Windows, but used a Mac this year. Several times the data entered in a space disappeared, caused me to have to proofread the return several times. Even when I finished, I wasn’t confident it was complete or incomplete. I believe H & R was programmed basically for Windows, and was modified to be used in Mac format.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using for decades. I got nothing this year. I had to search to buy. Same thing every year for me. But HR tries to charge more than I need.

Used it for 15 years. This year was the worst I’ve even seen. Questions that didn’t apply, audits I couldn’t clear, filing they failed & I had to pay a second time to actually get it to file. Next year I’m trying TurboTax.

I've used this program for almost 30 years and it always improves making the process much easier. The only issue I had was I was unable to download my financials from Fidelity. I was able to do my girlfriends without issue. The dialog box that pops up give mis leading information as it says once logged into the provider you can select which accounts you wish to download but that does not happen. I kept getting error message to verify my social security number which was correct. Your help people did not have an answer ither that I needed an software update. When the update came out that did not work either. I never had this issue in prior years.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
