Consistent, effective product

Always effective in leading me through the tax filing process. Usually wait late in the timeline due to continuing updates, but I'm usually confident in its accuracy by the time I e-file.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

A little hard to go back and make changes. Always had to start at beginning of section and go through all questions to get items that needed changing. Disappointed there was no summary page of all retirement payments showing total gross and taxable amounts. I think my rental properties qualified for QBID but couldn’t figure out how to make it work.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does the job

I've been using H&R Block tax software for several years. It gets the job done with minimal effort. Just stay away from the one that you do online. I tried before downloading the software. It sucks. It's just a piece of garbage that cost about 4x more than the downloaded software.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could not file without it. One error in the software. It required a data verification on form 8960 at 4a d looking for a number. This was impossible to change. Fortunately, I could still file.

I have used H&R Block tax software for over a decade. My tax return is complicated but the software has made it easy. I used to use a CPA but between high costs and mistakes I moved to software. There has never been an issue or an audit.

Too many updates. Update is always buggy. In order to get an update accomplished I had to reboot my computer with each update. I'm committed to H&R but seriously considered switching to TurboTax.
