Disappointed that the program doesn’t allow me to attach other documents such as basis adjustments for k-1.
Also disappointed that I can’t attach federal forms to state program which then requires printing and snail mail vs e-filing.
Supporting directions are often vague requiring me to look up, download, and print from IRS.gov.
For reference I purchased desktop premium version.

Glad I switched!

I was a 24-year user of TT. This year I purchased HRBLOCK after TT discontinued ItsDeductible, and TT failed to help me get authenticated to their system. Like the IRS forms, HRBLOCK leaves a few calculations unexplained, but it works. I also found it easy to use DeductibleDuck as a front end for HRBLOCK's Charitable Contributions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First time user here. It was easy and user friendly. The only concern I have is, if you made mistakes and want to correct it you can’t correct it right there and then. I didn’t know that you need to click file and do your corrections there. It took me forever keep clicking the page and it will not save the corrections I made. It was frustrating but I figured it out.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Generally speaking, it's a good product. However, this year, it messed up the capital gains totals summary page for my downloaded brokerage accounts. It took the capital gains totals of the first one I downloaded, then propagated it to all of them. And they never changed, even after I edited some transactions. The amounts on the form look right, but I'll be nervous until I get my refund. Tried to report the bug, but there was no way to do so.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I ran into a couple of bugs dealing with RMD and SEHID. I needed support from AI to solve them. I would suggest adding an AI capability to read 1099 directly; for example complex 1099-B input.

Overall pleased with software. A few items could be better. Every year I have to renter the 1099 royalty info. If the basic info could be there for me to update like the w2s it would save time. Like the five free federal e-files. Like state is included. Easy to use.
