I've been using HR Block software for 15 years.I worked for HR Block for 11 years. I use it on a Mac laptop. When I registered the software it mentioned that I need Mac 12.0 or above for it to work correctly. Mac 12.0 + is not available anymore! This should have been mentioned on the packaging so I could see it before I bought it. I used it anyway and there were mistakes the software made, but I was able to correct them. I guess I won't be able to use HRblock sofware in the future. Maybe Turbotax is more user friendly.

This is the first time I could not repair a problem. The program automatically pulled over the 2024 agi and it was incorrect. I could not find the location to override the incorrect answer with the correct one. Therefore, I could not e-file.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

My sister gifted this to me because they cancelled the Federal Direct File program. I found it a little odd to work with the interview style rather than filling in forms, but it worked out. My only issue was that on the State form, I couldn't figure out where to enter the 2025 taxes that I had allocated from my 2024 refund, but it was wonderful to have the State form auto-filled from the Federal return. It all went so much quicker than I anticipated.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
