I’ve used their tax program every year since at least. 2015. It’s easy to use, does a great job of reviewing your return for any possible errors or red flags that might trigger and IRS question. I’ve never had a single issue and trust their software. Highly recommend. My only negative is it’s getting too pricey.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

Most of the overall functionality and guided sections work fine; however, the reason I gave this one start is because it literally required 20+ hours for me to manually enter each stock trade and then wait for around 2 minutes between entries. This is not acceptable. Additionally, the program would crash without notice, and I would lose what information I added. I learned to keep several copies so that I could at least have an archived copy. Each crash cost me 20-30 minutes additional work. I'm seriously thinking of trying a different company next year to avoid this nightmare.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband worked for H&R Block for many years both while active duty Air Force, and after he retired. He taught my daughter how to do taxes and now she does mine for me too.

The software is definitely not as user friendly as Turbo Tax. I only changed to avoid having to upgrade windows. I'm very happy it will transfer information from last year. I do not like that I cannot look at and/or print a completed form without having to save the whole return to a PDF and look at it in completed format there. I was not alerted that I had not checked the QCD box on a distribution, even though it was coded with the 7-Y code, and had to re-do the entire printed return because it did not acknowledge just the code. I also miss the 5-year tax report summary Turbo provides.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
