I used the product last year and was very pleased with the use of the 2024 software and finding answers to my questions or issues. This year, it is like working in a black hole. I had to delete certain forms, since it came up in the review, when I tried to remove an item, it was not allowed, and there was no link to the form that the information was coming from. So I had to delete the entire form and start that form new. Very disappointed with the 2026 software. I think next year it might be back to TurboTax.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

I bought this because I was forced to because I had a 1099-B. I have used the basic program for over 10 years and it was just fine. All of a sudden I had to use the premium program.

The print feature needs to be modified. Printing out schedules 1, 2 and 3, along with the 1040 is redundant and a waste of ink and paper.

I've been using for years, but seems like the last few years the detail and thoroughness is getting worse. One example is that this year I got flagged for a problem at the end and neither of the questions that I hadn't answered were ever address during the interview. Also the Okla state interview is lacking and instead of providing forms like extimated tax, the program just said, "go to this OKLA website - we don't provide"

I used Turbo tax for 10 or 12 years. Yours is not as clear and more cumbersome to use, but it got the job done. Had a long delay in getting all the forms for my tax situation, maybe not your fault?

Been buying and using both the Federal and State (NJ) for years (decades actually) and I feel comfortable relying on the Q&A and results - except for one thing. That is, that there is not a complete transition from Federal to the State. In the latter there is several occasions where you are to go back to the Federal to pick up a number(s) and then decide if and how you must enter that number or modify it for the State. That's ridiculous. Tell me at least what the Federal number is - and then give me input on whether it needs modification. Yes, they tell you where to get the number but it a total waste of time jumping back and forth.
