I had trouble entering the 1095a information. Otherwise it works well. There was an error on the state code which was clearly NJ. I deleted and reentered the code but still it didn't work. I finally deleted the whole 1095a section and reentered it, and it worked

After an update, I was unable to open my return because the software couldnt see my state return which I had downloaded. I lost all my data and had to redo my return. Plus I had to buy another copy of the state return because it wouldnt allow me to re download the state return for free which should have been the case. The HR Block help features were of no use and offered no way to work around the problem. Im done with this company

Cons: Time consuming

Expected much better from a so-called expert!

I have been using HRB for years. Most years I have a problem that requires HRB intervention. This year was no exception. I identified a specific problem with the software including identifying the exact location of the problem and I'm still waiting for a resolution.
HRB AI is in the dinosaur age. I had to go to Gemini to get an explanation of the tax requirement. Gemini was significantly more helpful --- such a shame that generic software can better explain an issue than the so-call expert!
Trying to force a customer to a specific PDF software package is unconscionable when there are so many other software packages that provide the same, although better functionality.

I have been thinking about switching tax software for years, but was concerned about the new software transferring historic data. Maybe next year, I'll bite the bullet and switch!

I switched from TurboTax to HR Block at least 10 years ago. Have been very happy with it. My taxes have become a LOT more complicated over the years. I thought I had 2 mistakes this year when I looked at the end result, before filing. Nope, I was wrong, the software was correct!!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

This year in reporting 1099 IRA distributions the software doesn't give enough guidance on what figures go in which box. "Help" is not helpful. And there is no way to contact a real person.
I would recommend this to a friend!
