Performed As expected. IRS release of forms delays processing through HRBlock. This should be remedied. It delayed my filing. I will go paper if this continues!

I bought this purposefully to be able to submit electronically and this software lacks the very simple things it should be able to do. Like (1) notice that an actual error vs not an error and (2) allow an attachment when your files request an attachment, instead of falsely providing "help center" advise that the "send" button would prompt me to attach the file when indeed it did not prompt me and sent my file without the necessary attachment. I spent so much more in printing and mailing this year than any other year. It feels the software is going in a backwards progression instead of improvement.

Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I’ve been using H&R Block Tax Cut for about 30 years. A lot of information carries over from year to year. The program flags errors and odd entries. It also has an interview option that walks you through every possible topic. Highly recommended, and inexpensive for what you get.

Simple, easy, accurate. The only problem I had was downloading. I hit the download button and nothing happened. Hit it again, nothing seemed to happen. Then I noticed the instructions as I scrolled further down the page that I needed to go to my windows files, find it and execute it. So I think I might have purchased 2 programs where I only needed one. Will have to call and see if they can refund me if I find I have paid twice.

As a former TurboTax user I was not overly impressed. My biggest complaint is that when I went to file I was given the option of a refund check or direct deposit. The govt no longer issues tax refunds via checks and as I selected check my refund was delayed because the software did not inform me of that issue.
