I have a more complicated tax return due to investments but I like this product for the ease of downloading all the forms I need from the investment firm I work with.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Getting worse each year

For many years I was happy with this company's tax software. I'm at the point now where I will try their competitor next year. For three years, there have been issues or mistakes, or something left out so that my confidence in the result was suspect. Since this year was no exception, I need to go elswhere for my tax program next year. Too bad...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was a bit disappointed when I got to the point to rifle the state account that I could not do so because I had estate information on my return so I had to paper file. That information would have been helpful before I completed the state return.

I have been using this software for many years and it is easy to follow. Importing data from last year's return serves as a reminder to cover all your bases. The deduction Pro feature allows you to easily handle donations, unfortunately, it is no longer separate software so you can't use it as you go thru the next year for record keeping. You can set up a dummy return to use the program throughout next year but there seems to be no way to import the data into next year's return, so you have to retype all the information. I setup a dummy return to estimate next year's taxes by copying this year's returns and making adjustments anticipated for next year. A lot easier than the programs planning solution.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

I purchased and completed my federal tax, however I got a rejection from federal due to software not current and the update to fix it not available until March 5. Very disappointed and will not purchase again!!
