Once again we have been successful in using your product. we have been using these for many years and never have any difficulty. your software ties into our last filling and accounts for all it can.
I've been using H&R's software for 4 or 5 consecutive years now. It's very simple to use and conveniently brings in my previous year's tax return for bits of reference. The software asks you to review your previous year's information for changes, and I do that, but I seldom need to change anything. I'm able to search for W2 information, 1099-DIV information, and various other pieces of info from an online database using employer number, institution name, etc... which is very convenient! Sometimes it can be difficult nailing down the exact institution name that'll return the info I most need. Every now and then I have to use Google to verify that information that's being asked for is what's in a particular box on a particular form, but probably 95% of the time the software is very straight-forward. I've never been audited so I don't honestly know the software's accuracy, but it does an information check prior to submitting my return which gives me a bit of confidence. I will also state that I've never used another tax prep method in order to verify that I'm getting the very best return value available to me. I am in no way a tax professional, and know about as much about the tax system as an average United Statsean.
Another thing to note, my taxes are quite simple. I have one source of revenue, a 401k, a mortgage, a bank account, a mutual fund, and no dependents. Completing my taxes properly shouldn't be challenging in the least.
This is my second year using this software. I had more complicated taxes this year and it was, to my knowledge, completely sufficient to complete my taxes.
Easy to follow, until I had to input my UK state pension, everyone on line had issues with this, and it's not a recent issue. I eventually, for lack of any advice, added it to misc. income.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Needs better IRA coverage

Two suggestions:
1. It was very tricky to figure out how to deal with issues around backdoor roth IRA contributions. More documentation here would be helpful: a. User contributes directly to Roth IRA when income exceeds limit. b. User needs to recharactorize to trad IRA (inc if they do so in the following year).
Software assumed that recharactorized amount was part of the 2nd year contribution.
This took a long time to resolve (~8 hrs total prep time).
2. Please add Ally Financial to your list of Financial Institutions for direct import of tax forms.
