Disappointing

program doesn't always work right. Some things that were important to me were not explained, nor could I get them explained. It's fustrating when you can't go back to a screen you seen earlier. Used H&R block for a few years and never had any problems until this year. Needs some more work to get all the bugs out.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used HR block software for years. (including the state). This year I had to go outside of the software to use and print tax forms for the state. Although the HR software directed me where to go to get the forms, I feel these forms (AZ tax credit for foster care) should have been included with HR. In addition, the instructions in the HR interview for the credits were unclear.
Finally, on the Federal form, I checked a box and entered in a wrong number during the interview. I ended up deleting all my deductions (using deduction Pro) while I was trying to delete the wrong number. DEFINITELY not as easy to use this year!

Used H&R Block Deluxe SW successfully for many years. Would have given a 5 star, but for some strange reason they have not corrected their Social Security worksheet to match the federal social security form.
Pros: Easy to prepare
