H&R Block's software solution's (and online solution) software quality seems to be slipping over the years. Specifically, I experienced a "go to" link that wasn't connected to a target page, the final review surfaced "missing information" that wasn't requested during the initial inputting, navigation logic flaws, and areas where navigation was "circular" (that is, I would click on a link on a page to find more information or check previous input) and I would go to an earlier, irrelevant page, from which I had to renavigate to where I started. Sometimes I could get where I wanted to go, but not always. Having been in software for the majority of my work career, I believe that Block failed to adequately beta test their product before offering it to the public. Bottomline is that I most likely won't use their product next year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Eight years now I've used this program. Once I have all of the paperwork, I can do both Fed and state in 3 hours total.

I'm not very happy with this years app

I down loaded the app to my MAC , as previous year and I was surprised as the app was not as easy follow as previous years. It seem like the Tech is not realizing that not everyone is a tech wizard, we might be able to work using apps but if they are not user friendly it makes difficult for the older generation to follow. I was always happy with app before, this year I founded more confusing to follow. I tried checking for the status an seven though I got an E-mail that said that it was accepted I can not see it when I checked the actual return using the pad I get an error message, never had a problem the previous years.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
