I have been using H&R Block since 2006. First At Home, then Tax Cut, now it's just H&R Block. The ease with which the program guides you through the tax filing process is well worth the price paid. Staying with the same program also allows much information to automatically follow over from year to year. In spite of the various changes in my personal situation and the tax laws from time to time, it it still easy. This year I inherited an investment account. Previously all our investments were in tax sheltered retirement accounts, which don't require any tax considerations (except for RMDs). So this was a new area in terms of taxable gains, dividends, qualified or not, etc., including a bunch of 1099X and new reporting forms. The Deluxe + State program walked me through all of them and saved me a lot of money compared to what I had penciled in on my guesstimate. Very pleased.

I like H&R Block

I have used H&R Block and Tax Cut previously for many years. I believe they make the TAX filing process a lot easier than performing the task on hard-copy. I have not been able to import my W-2, likely something with my employer. One of these days I should start using a money tracking program to make filing even easier.
