This program gave me fits this year. I kept recycling stuff I had corrected even after saving the file and was very difficult to review. The program did not guide me easily through recharacterizations of excess IRA contributions nor did it assume the correct dispensation. I gave up on the penalty for underpayment and will let the IRS bill me and I gave up on 2020 estimated because it just didn't seem to want to recognize that I retired. The final answer was about what I expected but the process was much more tedious this year.
It would be great if there were more Arizona State forms, such as AZ Form 348, made available on you software, so that your clients don't have to go to the AZ State tax form website to obtain and complete it. Since I have to do that, there's no way that I can file my AZ tax return online since that form isn't available from your tax software, so it can't be completed or included in the online filing.
I have used H&R Block for many years however next year will likely be a change. Very tired of the lack of improvements and having to figure out at the end of a tax return filing why things don't match up. I am also very upset that my Robinhood investments did not have an auto import option this year. Definitely not the innovative tax took it used to be.
I've been using H&R Block tax software for more than a decade without a single problem. Very easy to use. The software guides me through the process step by step, making helpful suggestions along the way.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
