from Bowling Green KY
Due to the fact I had donated publicly traded stocks and household goods, the program thinks I exceeded the $5000 form limit and kept dumping me into part B of form 8283 which I did not need to fill out because publicly traded stocks are exempt from the extra info. I could not override the numbers in the form or in the interview.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used this for a few years now and am always plesantly surprised how well it works.
The Federal section is OK. It flagged a couple of errors and then offered no clues about how to fix them. The state portion (PA in my case) is really sketchy.
The 2019 is very good with one exception; a problem I have had consistently in previous years. The 1099misc entries are convoluted and very hard to navigate. My entries are 2 simple 1099misc forms with small amounts from oil royalties. There is no straight forward way to enter the information for these simple forms. The directions seem to be circular - following one flow takes you to an unrelated form that is very involved, linking these simple royalties with income from rental property. This probably affects few people, but it would be very much appreciated for some 1099misc simple royalties knowledgeable person to go through the procedure for this simple 1099misc form. I spent as much time trying to enter this info as I did on the entire rest of the return.
