My wife has used this software for years. It makes doing taxes a snap! Good for anyone with investments, sale of home or stocks, etc. She states it is easy to navigate and easy to go to specific sections of the forms to review. It makes sure you have not omitted any necessary info.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Worked well. Had occasion to use phone support this year. James and Paul were great they solved my problem.

More detailed explanation would be better. Some questions I was not sure what was needed. A definition section would be helpful. Like IRA,SEP, pension , annuity, simpilfied retirement plan etc., I filed a joint return and before submitting I was asked if wife filed a return.. Should be clear precisely what is asked for. Both Fed. and State. State less detailed.
Pros: Easy to import documents

Bad Year for Mac Users

Been a user of this software for more than 10 years and this was the worst software I have ever used. My software was for Mac and it required me to get tech support to download state and to file federal return. Much to my dismay I understand from support I'm not alone!!
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use, informative (click here for more info), too long due to tax code - too many deductions or credits for special interest groups or special situations that don't apply to 99% of taxpayers. Why all the medical expense details required when they get lumped together? And then all the work gathering and detailing the deductions are too low compared to the new, higher standard deduction. Why not just ask what your total is and only detail it if it is bigger than the std deduction? The software is easy enough to use but the tax code makes it more cumbersome than it should. And why the extra charge for efiling your state return when you already pay extra to include the state return in the software?

I find it very user friendly. The methodical interview process seems to cover all necessary areas and I’m confident return is accurate. The only thing Block should improve is the printing mode. When you print file copy it prints all the work sheets
