Straightforward guided question and answer format. Good for homeowner use. My taxes do not have many complications but the ability to deal with such as estates will be important sometime in the future. I don't use the state feature. In my state the taxes are filed online.

The software is good except there is a problem with form 1099-DIV, box 7 and 8. There was an amount entered in box 7 for foreign tax that was put in by the financial institution holding my mutual fund. Box 8 was left blank, which should be ok according to the form instructions. However, the H&R Block software kept coming up with an issue about leaving box 8 blank. It said I had to resolve the issue before I could submit the return. (This happened in 2 places for 2 different mutual funds.) I finally figured out that if I put "none" (or some other text) in box 8, the issues went away. I don't think they should have happened in the first place. That caused quite a bit of frustration to me, trying to get the issues to go away.
If not for that problem, I would have given 5 stars in my rating.
