I've been using this one for a few years. While it imports prior years' info from its main competitor, it doesn't from the program I was using before this one. It works for my simple needs, but there are are a few additions that I'd like to see... I have a relative who doesn't want to e-file, so an envelope wizard would be nice. Another nice addition would be an up-front check box for "I have W-2s and/or 1099s and nothing else" so you don't have to wade through pages of questions for someone with simple needs. I'd also like to see it as a single permanent program for which you purchase yearly plug-in apps. (Same price is fine.) That way it would be easier to look up prior years' returns. But my reason for dinging it a star is, like every one of this type of software that I've seen, the up-selling. I live in a state that has free online filing. I don't need to be bugged to upgrade to "+State" for double the original purchase price.

After using it twice it has become more familiar and easier to use. It is not user friendly. Next year it should be easier. An up front check list of the things you are going to need would be helpful, like account numbers, drivers license number etc. My biggest complaint is the type is too small and I couldn't find any way to enlarge it on screen. This makes it hard to see the questions and hard to see what you are entering.
Cons: Time consuming
