My PA tax return required a PDF attachment that was three documents but only would allow one doc and when i thought next would allow second doc..it sent state tax form... i expext i will not get my refund and will have to supply other docs..poor explanation and nothing i could do

I've used the H&R Block Deluxe software for about the last 10 years. It's very easy to use by just inserting your information and it does all the calculating for you. However, some of the language used is not for people that don't normally do their own taxes. Would be better to give very specific instructions on some matters where needed so common people can understand it better instead of referring people back to the IRS publications which are way too complicated to use or understand. That is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 rating.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare

The program seems basic and overall was useful. Only moderately helpful in the instruction department. Did not offer specific suggestions based on specific circumstances. Didn't like the sales pitches for upgrading nested in the product.

The "interview" guidance on Deluxe is the weakest experience I have had in 15 years of using various tax software.
The crowning glory is the IRS rejecting my filing because of a bug in the software. I do give you credit for admitting that in the rejection notice, but my goodness, the software has to be reliable! Doesn't inspire confidence.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
