Omits Key Calculation

The Federal program does not calculate the taxable and non-taxable pension amounts correctly. The taxable amount is on line 4d. For a Federal pension under the CSRS, non-taxable income is spread over the years after retirement. The total of the non-taxable income must equal the amount an employee puts in the retirement program. The total contribution that an employee put in the CSRS retirement program is shown in box 9b of the Form 1099R ($116,938). I was able to to get the worksheet to give the right number so that the taxable income and the total pension are the same.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

A bit easier than Turbo Tax

It does the job - what more can be said for tax software!
I found it as easy if not more so than either Taxact or TurboTax. I especially like being able to import pdf taxes from other programs (I did this with my Taxact forms from last year).
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
