No email notice regarding IRS acceptance of return

The software performed acceptably, but I never received any email notice that the IRS accepted my return. I filed for myself and my son. This is not acceptable. They specifically ask for your email address to send notices and they should be sent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very complete and easy to follow

H & R Block tax software continues to be premium quality. All steps to complete form are easily understood. I really like how forms can be retrieved, reviewed and then edited if necessary. E-filing was so much simpler than software I used in 2018.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

This program is easy to use and guides you through all the options available to you and also gives you tips on improving your next year's return. It doesn't steer you wrong. I also like being able to file both my state and federal returns electronically, it's so much faster!

Technical flaw

Completed both Fed. State taxes, Fed tax e-mailed. State tax form could not be e-mailed. All info no longer exist, Must do state taxes over again.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have not had any issue with the tax software which I have used for over ten years until 2020. It appears a glitch is in the software which prevents the Federal return from being successfully filed. I keep getting an error code implying the software needs to be updated although I am using the latest version of the software.
