I used H&R Block at home for the past several years. My 2018 state refund received in 2019 is nontaxable per IRS RR-2019-11 and the 2019 Form 1040 instructions worksheet to determine its taxability, due to the state and local tax limits on my 2018 federal tax return. However when the 2018 state refund amount was imported automatically from 2018 by the 2019 H&R Block Deluxe it posted the state refund as 100 percent taxable in error. I had updated the program through Jan. 27 prior to completing my return.
