I bought this product for a good price at Walmart. Easy to understand.

Software is fairly efficient, and straight forward for most of it. As with each year, a bit disappointed with lack of explanation and capabilities with the state program.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I have used the product for about 10 years in a PC environment, but needed to convert to my MAC this year, for a variety of technical issues on my end. Had some issues this year that are probably user driven differences between the PC and MAC environments. But, I pushed through and finished my fed and state returns in about 4 hours of time. It would have been faster but I had to input a lot of data that is usually updated by the system.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Best Tax Software

I switched from Turbo Tax years ago. I have used H&R Block Deluxe ever since. It is less expensive and very easy to use. Two Thumbs up!!

Disappointed with the HSA section

I have used H&R Block to complete my tax returns for a long time, I’ve actually never used another software program. I’ve always been pleased with the program until this year. When trying to complete the HSA section, specifically Form 8889 the software was not helpful in the least. It only referred me to the IRS website, which is completely unhelpful. I feel like my situation is pretty common (I have a HDHP with HSA for me and my kids and my wife has a HDHP with HSA for herself) but this section did not help me complete this form given my situation at all. Granted I got lucky this year bc my wife didn’t actually start her HSA until 2019 but I fear completing my taxes for 2019 given we will both have a HSA and file jointly. I hope H&R Block really takes this into consideration and the program becomes more helpful and useful in this section and provides some guidance and examples of how to complete.
