I have used H&R Block tax software for many years. I purchased it this year because it was the cheapest tax software at the time. However, I’m finding it more difficult to use and am questioning its accuracy. I have a hard time returning to my working point after looking at a “go to” item. As a previous user, I can navigate around, but I believe it should be easier. Using the software requires a person to kind of have some tax knowledge; possibly difficult for first time users unless your tax situation is simple. Additionally, the included state return result was different than the result of my actual state tax website. The state website made more sense, so I used the state website tax return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't expect to ever buy it again. It was painful and wasn't very intuitive. I've used FreeTax USA in the past which doesn't do all of my state forms which is why I was looking to switch, but I ended up doing FreeTax alongside H&R Blocks and had to spend hours going through H&R's because I'd made several expensive mistakes while FreeTax was a breeze.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

HR Block software is adequate on most areas… but it SCREAMS for a telephone number leading to a real human who will answer simple questions.
