I have been using H&R Block software for years and found it easier to use then turbotax. I recently upgraded to a MacBook and found the software to be a learning experience as the new software is more intuitive than the previous software.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have purchased and used the product for many years. I used to use turbo tax in the past, but they out priced themselves and I felt it was silly to buy theirs when hrb works just as well for less than half the cost.

The automatic download from the prior year software did not work. Despite the 2025 software indicating that the prior year’s info was successfully downloaded, no information from the past year appeared. I tried the download 3 times without success. I was forced to manually load all personal and investment info. Disappointing.

It is a good program. But this year I could find no answer to a question I had in minimal contributions paid by my pension. The information you listed gave me no clue as to how to respond. Your chat person told me he couldn’t answer my question. Your direction to go to the IRS was less than helpful. I had no place to go to seek and answer.
