Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Very disappointed with the product this year when trying to process a 1099-A and 8962 for my son. When filling out the info for the 1099-A there was only 8 months worth of data available to fill out, which should have been fine. Instead the Federal kept getting rejected when I tried to efile. I then used Turbo Tax using the same process and I was able to efile without any trouble. You definitely have an issue with your software. Doubtful I'll be coming back next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Generally, a very intuitive program. It is easy to use, and relatively easy to perform research. The planning tools are not as good, since the do not allow the level of detail as the program. Overall, very satisfied with H&R Block tax software. A great value.
