The federal tax software worked great but the Wisconsin state tax software had many errors this year. I will now have to do an amended return. It did not add my Medicare part B to my medical expenses in the SB form, it did not give me the $300 credit for my property tax,it said i had no property tax entered even though it was entered in both the fed and state return, it did not give me the deduction fo the married couple with two earned income w2s.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR YEARS BUT COULDNT PURCHASE A DOWNLOAD UNLESS I HAD WINDOWS 11 OR HIGHER. I PURCHASED H &R BLOCK PROGRAM WITH EXCITMENT THAT I COULD STILL USE IT ON MY CURRENT COMPUTER. I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT IT WILL NOT IMPORT FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS ENTIRELY AND SORT THEM OUT WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED. I ALSO FIND IT DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE ON THIS PROGRAM. I DONT FEEL CONFIDENT THAT THE PROGRAM IS HELPING ME TO ENSURE THAT ALL ENTRIES ARE WHERE THEY NEED TO BE. THIS PROGRAM SKIPS THE TIN# IN THE 1099R DOWNLOAD, BUT THE NUMBER IS PART OF THE DOWNLOAD.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Great federal, ok on state (MD). Good federal interview and good mapping of info to forms. State was good in doing forms but wouldn’t e-file. Had to go re-do it using MD iFile online/web service
