Software asked me to change my W-2, though it was entered correct, it would not let me go forward to e-file. I got out and redid a new one and it worked ok, no explanation what was different from the first time.
The software would not do e-file for the three, Fed and the two states, so I had to mail the non-resident state return. The instructions asked me to include the Federal 1040. I called the help number to see if I had to include all the schedules, the person answering said she didn’t really know but recommended it, said she only worked software questions.

I could not get basic info to import from previous year and I used H and H software . Also never showed previous year comparison May go back to Turbo. Very frustrating that I could not see previous year AGI to send electronically
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Product gets the basics done however it should be able to use AI and ingest data for Wells Fargo to handle investments and loss deferrals.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

We've already received our refunds this year. We had different events this past year and the program was versatile enough to take care of my diverse needs.

The H&R tax software kept telling me to verify the amounts listed on a Form 1099-DIV from Fidelity Investments. Neither the transaction dates nor the dollar amounts matched my records, but what was I to do? It is the middle of the night. Am I to wait until the next day to argue Fidelity Investments? Who am I to argue with -- Fidelity Investments, FIDELITY BROKERAGE SERVICES LLC, or NATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES, LLC. How to get in touch with them? No telephone numbers. Then on the alerts the tax software objected again. None of it really mattered -- all of the dollar amounts were in 2 or 3 digits.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
