I bought this because unlike Turbo Tax it does not push me into labyrinths of useless information. However, this year I ended up in a situation where my taxes suddenly doubled, but I could not figure out how or why. It did not alert me to the fact that I had entered some of my overseas pension income in two places.
Then, even though I had bought the state extension, the SW was not very helpful at all. Finally, I was able to sign onto the state's website and very easily not only file my return, but also make my payment electronically. Your SW should have told me this, instead of instructing me on how to write a check, and mail my return.
