Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I've been using the H&R Block tax software for 30+ years. While I am generally satisfied with it, there are some frustrating shortcomings with the program that indicate that it has not kept up with the modern software development and changes in tax policies. More specifically, the Learn More links to topics such as explaining the terms "basis", "exempt", "nonexempt", as related to IRAs and in particular the handling of inherited IRAs is sorely lacking. Also, the Accuracy Review Results are very confusing since it takes you to the sections of the IRS forms for flagged entries, instead of the narrative section of the tax software where the data entries are made. Most of the time I've found that the flagged entries are correct, but there is no way remove the flags. So, they show up as potential errors over and over again. Finally, tax experts should be made available for telephone help with tax questions and issues. Telephone help should be prominently displayed in the header of the software program.
