This is pretty much a no-brainer approach to doing your taxes. The program asks the right questions. All I have to do is keep track of W-2 and 1099 forms, and have last year's tax return available.

The Indiana State program would not let me send electronically. There are numerous fields on the W2 that should be the same amount so the error message doesn't make sense. Nor does it pinpoint the exact place the error occurred. Only a generic message.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

For the most part, this is easy to use, easy to follow software. It has links to IRS publications for detailed information and asks questions to determine which forms are needed for your return. The only topic we need that it doesn't cover well is public traded partnerships. That topic is always a pain for us to complete. Otherwise, we are satisfied with this product.

Easy, quick & painless tax filing, this program will fill in many of the fields, from your past filings year, which then can be edited to match the tax year in question. It will also prompt you to account for changes in the tax laws, or tax credits, stimulus payments etc. I highly recommend this program.
